BRETT MARTIN BIOGRAPHY

Brett Martin is unquestionably one of Canada’s hottest rising comedy stars. With a unique blend of razor sharp bluntness and offbeat goofiness all wrapped in a conversational style, he has become a Comedian you should see.

He first hit the Comedy Stage in Calgary in 1999, and, not long afterwards, became a working comedian, honing his skill ‘on the road’ throughout Western Canada as a young man. Bigger challenges called to him, and he moved to Toronto where he quickly became a full time Comedian in Canada’s largest and most competitive entertainment market.

With a taste for adventure and bilingual women, he moved to Montreal, where he was quickly noticed and named one of Montreal funniest Comics, earning selection for an XM Satellite Radio taping featuring the city’s best.

5 Years and many shows later, Brett Martin now calls Vancouver home. He has become one of Canada’s busier Acts, headlining Yuk Yuks Comedy Clubs across Canada, as well as Colleges, Theaters, Casinos’, Corporate Performances, Outdoor shows and more. He has hosted live talk shows, appeared on Star TV and been featured in print, radio, as well as having garnered interest form Just For Laughs, CTV and more. And that Satellite Radio feature is still played in frequent rotation.

His style is perfect in the environment where every nuance and idea can be digested, yet he’s versatile enough to grab the surliest of crowds. With an eye and mouth for things bigger than his own world, his Comedy tackles premises that leave you thinking, laughing and wondering when you’ll get a chance to see him again.
