Taste of Health 2011


Earthsave Canada is very excited to present what we are sure will be our best event yet!

This, our 13th Annual Taste of Health vegetarian food and living fair will be held on Sunday, October 2nd from 11:30am-6:00pm at the Roundhouse Community Centre, located at 181 Roundhouse Mews, on the corner of Davie and Pacific in Vancouver, BC. The Roundhouse is sandwiched just steps from both the Yaletown-Roundhouse Skytrain Station and the Seawall.

Tickets will be $5 at the door.

  • Sarah Taylor: Vegan in 30 Days - 12:00-1:00

    Sarah Taylor, Author of Vegan in 30 Days, will be speaking on how to transition to a vegan diet - no matter what your starting point is. She will offer dozens of practical and useful tips for making a vegan diet easy and achievable. She will discuss how to give up your favorite non-vegan foods without suffering from cravings, how to eat out at restaurants, and how to travel and entertain as a vegan, among other topics.

  • Adam Hart: Discovering the Power of Food - 2:45 – 3:45

    Did you know there are only two types of food we eat? For many of us food is very confusing. This confusion makes it very difficult for you to be able to avoid sickness and disease. During Adam's presentation you will engage in a number of enlightening exercises designed to decrease your confusion around food and enable you to avoid unwanted illness.

  • Bobby Parmar: Alkaline Diet - 4:00 – 4:45

    A vegan naturopath born and raised in Vancouver, Bobby obtained his Bachelor of Applied Science Degree (Kinesiology, Psychology and the Humanities) from Simon Fraser University and proceeded to complete a four year program in naturopathic medicine at The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto.

    As a Naturopathic Doctor, his scope of practice includes: Nutrition, both Western and Eastern Herbology, and Acupuncture. He has a special interest in hormones and has additional certification in treating subclinical hypothyroidism (Wilson's Temperature Syndrome).
